CASACV is committed to safety. There is legislation that requires prioritisation of child safety, this is inclusive of children referred and other children who may be at risk of harm.
Mandatory child safety reporting will always be adhered to if we believe a child is at risk. During assessment or counselling should we believe you are at risk or pose a risk to others we are bound by a duty of care to report this, where possible we will discuss this, provide support and work with you to ensure safety and wellbeing is maintained.
CASACV recognises the challenges of residing in regional areas and we have established outreach locations throughout Central Victoria to allow us to provide face to face services where possible. Given the nature of the work we do our preferred method of counselling is face to face however we will discuss individual needs and accommodate them accordingly.
